OSGA Annual General Meeting 2008

Blair McIntosh from Sports Alliance and Anita Comelia from Ministry of Health Promotion presented information on the recent Review that the SAO has completed on the OSGA.  A lively discussion followed.

Barry Fay, Co-chair of Actifest 2008 presented the final report of the successful provincial summer games held in London this past August.

Laurence Bishop, General Manager and David Dargie, Co-Chair of WInterfest 2009 presented an overview of the upcoming Winterfest Games being held in Brockville, February 2009.

Lawrence Smith of Firesnacks Inc. provided information on the OSGA website and discussed how it could be utilized by the districts and its membership to keep informed.

In the General Meeting, the Constitution and Bylaws were updated, Rules and Format changes were voted upon and the election of the OSGA Board of Directors for 2008-2009 was held.

Rules and Format changes for the Summer Sanctioned Events have been updated on this website.  Look for individual events under Sanctioned Events - Summer or the entire technical manual under Administration - Tech. Manuals.

At the banquet, Monday evening, the Bob Secord Award was presented to two very deserving volunteers.  Check out the Bob Secord Awards page for more information on this award

After dinner, Janet Turner, a delightful singer from London and Toronto entertained the delegates.

A big thanks to Bruce Symons, AGM Committee Chair, for choosing such a great spot, The Arden Park Hotel, and for organizing a successful meeting.
