Jean Neilson

Jean has been an “Organizer” nearly all of her life in Junior Farmers, the Retired Women Teachers Federation of Ontario, Appleton Women’s Institute, the North Lanark Agricultural Society and District 9 of the Ontario Senior Games to name a few.
Since 1985 Jean has served 13 years as District 9 President and was instrumental in starting Shuffleboard and Carpet Bowling in the area.
Jean continues to be a huge part of Senior Games as a participant, organizer and executive member.
Jean is a very worthy recipient of the Bob Secord Award.

Bill Tschirhart

Bill has been involved in coaching, officiating and participating in sporting events for many years.
In 1982, with the help of his wife Bertha, Bill pioneered in the forming of District 26 of the Ontario Senior Games in Kitchener at which he and “Bert” prepared and served the banquet, and in 1986 spearheaded the first ACTIFEST.
Bill has been “The Face” of senior games in the area and continued to be deeply involved until recently when, due to poorer health has had to settle for being guiding light and promoter of Senior Games in the Kitchener area.
Bill is a very worthy recipient of the Bob Secord Award.
