hanimanextrasm.jpgMary Haniman (deceased)
Mary was one of the original people who worked on establing the OSGA DIstrict 8.  She served on the Board for nearly 25 years, was convenor for many years at events such as Bridge, Euchre an Cribbage.  Mary attended every Actifest but one.  While representing DIstrict 8, she took home a few medals .

In 2007, Mary was nomnated to receive the Senior Achievement award from the Ontario Government in recognition for her many years of service as a volunteer.  She was awarded a 25 year Medal on May 25, 2007.

Mary also served on the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 569 Long Sault  Board for well over 20 years, on the U.S.C.O. (United Senior Citizens of Ontario) Zone 35 for 20 years as secretary, co-founded the Long Sault Friendly Circle - Club 336.

Unfortunately, Mary passed away before she was able to receive this much deserved recognition by the OSGA and her district. Her son Ron was very pleased to accept the award on behalf of his mother.

Mary was indeed a very worthy recipient of the Bob Secord Award.
